No Nonsense Broadband Packages

Traditional broadband delivery uses copper cable from a local exchange to a nearby cabinet before connecting up your home. Originally this was sufficient to support our needs and saw the introduction of internet access products such as Dial Up and ADSL… thankfully we don’t have to shout at each other anymore to hang up the landline whilst we surf the net!

As broadband usage increased and more devices required not only access to the internet, but had greater data requirements, these original internet access products could no longer cut it. Ushering in the next era of broadband; Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC). FTTC brings the Ultrafast capability of fibre closer to our homes, but it stops at the street cabinet and from there uses the same old copper cable. FTTC provided a jump in speed from ADSL, but once again our requirements have outgrown the technology.

Full fibre then, takes a fibre cable from the exchange straight into your home and completely bypasses any copper landline network. By doing this, the Ultrafast capability of fibre broadband can be realised as there is no bottleneck on the network. Additionally, the speeds that the fibre cable is capable of carrying is much faster than the packages offered today, so it’s a technology that prepares us for the future.
